Email/Phone Number Is In Use With Another Contact

It's one of the more common questions to come into the TRACK Support Desk:


I just finished up putting all of the lead information into TRACK and now I am getting a message saying the email address/phone number is in use with another contact. What am I supposed to do?


While this is certainly a frustrating development, you can fix this roadblock with ease.  Simply go into the search field on the Contact tab (see inserted photo) and begin typing the phone number or email that is already being used.  The search tab will populate with the other contact that is using that particular piece of contact information.  Once you see the desired contact show up, click on it and it will fill out within the lead form.
