Configuration options will be housed under the Pulse Setup tab under Web Chat. The following three sections will need to be configured.
There is only one option and seems to be very much liked by most. It is the option to preview what the guest is typing prior to them hitting the send button. This is great for quick replies and general questions. If you would like to use this option, simply check, Yes and save.
Chat topics work similarly to queues in TRACK setup. We will also route topics to different queues.
For example, (as shown in the video) general questions, reservations or maintenance topics can all be routed to the reservations queue and any agent logged in at the queue will be able to respond to the chat.
New Topic -
Click the green “Topic” button with a plus sign (upper right-hand)
Name the topic (ex: amenities)
Check the active checkbox (required for use)
Select the inbox you would like these inquiries to go into too
Select a brand (optional)
Banner title - First thing seen when the widget opens; banner title will display at the top of your widget when the chat is active
Brand - Is only used if you are creating separate widgets for each of your brands
Customizable messages -
Welcome - Message is the first line of chat the guest sees, for example, How can we help you today? Would you like to chat with us today?
Away - Message is displayed to a guest when there is no one available to answer the chat. You can say something like, “We are sorry, there are no available agents to chat at this time. We will use your contact information to get back to you as soon as possible”.
Goodbye - Message is the line of text displayed when the agent has ended the chat.
Color - Can be a primary color, such as red, blue, green, orange or a specific hex code to match your website.
Hidden on Start - Is for the widget to be visible to guests if you select “No” then the chat will be available when a guest accesses your website.
Website Code - As you answered the questions above the code has been automatically created based on your answers. If you make any changes to any of the fields listed above, this code will automatically update for your convenience.
